Installation & Setup

Important: The first installation must be completed by a Slack workspace administrator to approve the Leanmote app for the organization.
After the app is approved, each team member must authorize the integration individually to activate their personal connection.

You can connect Slack in two ways:

A Slack admin should perform this initial installation to approve permissions for the workspace. Once approved, other team members can follow the same link to connect their accounts.
From Leanmote Settings
- Go to Productivity Tools → Slack in Leanmote and click Install Slack App.
- Approve the OAuth authorization request in Slack, selecting the workspace for installation.
- Review the requested scopes and click Allow.
- Save changes — Leanmote automatically backfills up to 30 days of channel metadata to establish baseline analytics.

Security & Permissions

Scopes requested: channels:history, channels:read, users:read, users:read.email
Credential handling: Slack signing secrets are securely stored, and all requests are validated via signature verification.
